Hello we are Madide and Joel

We have a story to tell

We are Maddie and Joel we have a story to tell. We are an Argentine-German couple who wants to teach and spread tango around the world. We have met dancing tango in Buenos Aires in 2016. We come from totally different and distant worlds. We took the first steps in dance a few years ago and it continues to excite us like the first day. We believe that tango is a powerful tool to connect people. Tango for us transcends cultures and countries.

Maddie

Maddie is originally from Germany. She started dancing Tango in 2013 during her university times in Wageningen. In 2016, she landed for 3 months in Buenos Aires .

During her four years in Buenos Aires, Maddie focussed on her own Tango studies. She learnt with different teachers, such as Aurora Lubiz, Veronica Salmeron, Pancho Martinez Pey amongst others.

During the lockdown, she practiced regularly with her own dance partner, taking part in a Tango-ensemble.She  sharing a few shows and workshops with Joel, before they decided to move to the Netherlands.

In her Tango classes, she uses her coaching profession and language skills to her advantage. Tango for Maddie is almost therapeutical. It means personal growth, inner and outer expansion and getting in touch with your feelings and creativity.
